Make gaming run as smooth as it possibly can on a gaming laptop with the help of a high quality i7 processor. This quad core number offers you the perfect choice for a creative and enjoyable gaming experience. The 7th Gen 7700HQ processor helps to keep the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop running as well as you would likely be able to expect from a gaming laptop on the market.
High quality gaming experience is made even more enjoyable with the help of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. A hugely impressive 6GB GFX card that offers a whopping 6GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM. Offers a high quality, crisp level of performance that should break through the performance barrier that most gaming laptops struggle to overcome.
16GB of DDR4 memory and 256GB SSD helps to make sure that this runs fast, loads faster and has ample space for storing what you need. While other laptops might offer more space, this offers enough room to install flagship games to be played and enjoyed on the go.
6” screen offers you all the space that you would need and expect from a typical gaming laptop. The 1920 X 1080 performance might be a must these days, but it offers a very crisp and clean finish with a nice matte look to help keep the screen crisp, clean and easy to look at for long periods of time.
Backlit keys and IPS display helps this to be easy to use even when sitting in the darkness. This helps to keep performance at high levels while you can get all the help that you need to really keep things moving in the right way. A must-have for anyone looking for a gaming laptop that’s capable of delivering impressive performance without scraping by on visibility or overall performance.
7-hour battery life without charge makes this is one of the easiest laptops on the market to use. Ample power makes sure you have plenty of gaming time without having to find a charge port. Just remember to treat the battery well; like all portable batteries, poor treatment and incorrect charming will have a detrimental effect on the battery life.
Top quality peripherals in the form of a reactive and easy to use touch pad with a keyboard that feels great on the fingers. Watch as your fingers bounce off the keys with minimal resistance, making it easy for you to use the laptop for all-day gaming as much as for general purpose management, web browsing, word processing etc.
Crisp design and build that makes this very easy to keep stored in a bag. Smart matte finish helps to keep the whole laptop looking fresh and new, with a very cool look that helps to mix together a fine blend of modern looks with something a touch more traditional. Subtle design makes this easy to keep in your bag, unlike other gaming laptops that make themselves a target by being overly loud.
3kg weight makes it easy to carry around with you, making sure it’s not a laptop that you need to worry about being too weighty for your bag. Quite thin, too, making it an easy one to slip into your bag even when space may be at a premium.

We had the pleasure of trying out the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop recently, and used it to try out some modern releases. Curious to see how it handled everything from Football Manager 2018 to Lord of the Rings: Shadow of War, we put the laptop through its paces to see what we thought of it overall. What was the verdict, then?
Processor. The processing power of the laptop is very good; it has to be said. While other gaming laptops might be another step up the ladder, it managed to regularly hit 59FPS on just about everything we tried it out on. We were very impressed with the processing capacity to keep gaming nice and smooth, while it was obviously helped out by having a graphics card custom-built for handling such performance loads.
Video Card. Absolutely awesome; it’s rare to find a gaming laptop in this price range with something as good as the GTX 1050 Ti. A fine choice of model for those who want something that puts the GPU ahead of almost everything else. A fine video card for the cost, and is more than capable of running games at 1080p. Just don’t expect to be going any further up the ladder in terms of 4K gaming or anything like that: it’s just not built for that kind of depth, sadly.
Memory. More than ample for what you will likely be able to run on the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop, the 16GB of dual-channel memory offers a lovely combination with the processor to help make performance as crisp and as rapid as you would have expected when picking up a model like this. Memory is fine, making it easy to run memory-heavy guns such as FM18.
Storage. Meh. The storage is one of the major letdowns here, though we can’t really blame the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop for this; the laptop storage industry is still wildly overpriced. The SSD offers a decent enough amount of space and performance is excellent, but be prepared to do a bit of prep if you want more than a few flagship AAA games installed at once; or, pay a large excess to get a larger SSD installed instead.
Battery Life. Fine, very good indeed. We found that while games obviously drained it a bit more than the 7-hours claimed, especially on full brightness and power settings with a high-demand game, it’s about as good as you could expect from this kind of hardware.
Casing. Good, very slick and smart finish with some very impressive modern touches really making it stand out from the crowd. A major gripe, though, is the build quality. If you happen to drop this, you will find that the screen is likely to be the victim. While build quality is good, it’s not great by any means. You should take care of the screen especially, as it’s a lot weaker than one might expect.
Very impressive power output for something in the price range. You should be able to enjoy nice 1080p gaming on the go without a single hint of struggle. The majority of even new release AAAs should run on this without too much complaint.
Core i7 processor makes sure you are left with a very impressive processing power. Most gaming laptops cheap out and hit you with an i5; this does nothing of the sort, rewarding you for your purchase with a fine memory and processor combo.
Battery life is decent for a laptop of this kind, offering ample lifespan so long as you aren’t expecting it to last all night without assistance.
Smart and modern design that gets rid of tacky gloss in favor of something a touch more respectable and modern.
Poor build quality means you need to be very clear about the screen and take as much care of it as you can.
Trackpad is a bit too soft for some people. If you like to use a touchpad with a bit of extra weight, this will have you flying all over the screen. Good for most people, but forceful gamers might find it a touch too weak.

Overall, the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop does more than enough to make it worth your consideration. While it suffers from the typical problems Acer laptops have long been plagued with, they are minimal enough to be considered a good starting point.
The quality of the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop is hard to dispute. Yes, it could be sturdier but the general qualities of this laptop should not be contested. A very good model if you want a gaming laptop that offers value and quality at once.
